Onvlee Engineering is very proud to be one of the few engineering firms in South Africa capable of manufacturing all its own specialised tooling requirements.
Other engineers' needs are catered for on a sub-contracted basis. The tooling division stays ahead of its competitors by utilising the latest precision machinery on the market, thereby guaranteeing cost-effectiveness and increased productivity, as well as ensuring that a superior product is produced.
Onvlee Engineering is a quality-system-rated company serving the local industry, which was established in Port Elizabeth in 1965. The company specialises in products related to the truck and transport industry, such as aluminium walkways, mild steel walkways and car tread plates.
The aluminium walkway was developed locally with the tooling being designed and built in-house. The walkway is manufactured from marine-grade 5052H aluminium and is currently predominantly used for the bulk liquid container industry and has been doing so for the past four to five years. The walkway has also been supplied to local truck and trailer manufacturers. The product is also exported to Europe and Asia.
